CapReyn Engineering told the committee the church’s campus currently consists of multiple lots, including a parcel zoned C-1 under a parking deck; the church seeks rezoning to I-2 to allow a consolidated single-lot campus.
"We need to rezone this lot to an institutional use so that we can then move forward with the resurvey of the campus into a single lot," said Chris Eckert of CapReyn Engineering. The applicant said all documents are ready for consolidation, but staff and councilors asked questions about easements and parking agreements with neighboring properties; the applicant said they would verify with Father Basil and return with clarification at the public hearing.
The planning commission issued a favorable recommendation and the item was scheduled for Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. for public comment and council action.
