Not all public remarks were accusatory. Stacy Malone urged civility and argued that "disagreement does not have to mean division," while supporting transparency and acknowledging the board's recent vote to pursue an expanded financial audit (public comment SEG 225–298).
The tenor of public remarks influenced trustee discussion. Trustees acknowledged both the need for transparency and the community's divided opinions.
