Board members supported the approach. "When I read it, it was in line with what we have been doing, which is the no cell phone policy as well," Speaker 1 said. Members appreciated the policy's flexibility to cover new device types without enumerating specific actions for confiscation and handling.
By consensus the committee agreed to move the wireless devices policy to the full board for first reading.
