The Bulloch County Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval for two streetlight special tax district applications tied to recently approved subdivisions.
KB Rentals requested a streetlight special tax district for Arcadia at Lotts Creek. Denver Youngblood said the final plat was approved July 23, 2025, and that the additional entrance light requested by the commission had been installed. Planning staff found the application substantially compliant with the lighting ordinance; the commission moved to approve and voted in favor.
KJR Group LLC sought a 16‑light streetlight special tax district for Flatwoods subdivision on Brooklyn Denmark Road. Nick McCall was out of town and engineer Ryan covered the presentation, explained the light plan and told commissioners the plan met the revised lighting ordinance; the commission approved the application following a motion and second.
Both approvals are recommendations forwarded to the County Commission for final action as part of the special‑tax creation process.
