Josh, the maintenance & operations director, told the council July–September are the department's busiest months and said seasonal positions were filled. He reported the Department of Corrections work crews have been more reliable, crews completed about 100 linear feet of sidewalk repair in the Brickwood neighborhood and 75 linear feet in Old Town by Haller Middle School, and crews filled multiple potholes during the summer heat.
Josh summarized parks work: York Park fencing and the dog‑park grand opening, splash‑pad re‑coating to extend service life, and preparation of the stormwater roundhouse location for the sundial art project. He also reported roughly 487 internal work orders tracked this year with about 75% completed.
At the end of the workshop the council had no public commenters, reviewed a single consent‑agenda item and Councilmember Deborah moved to adjourn. The council voiced 'Aye' and the meeting was adjourned.
