Pierce County Council confirmed two reappointments to the Tacoma Narrows Airport Advisory Commission (TNAAC) on Sept. 30, approving Resolution R2025-210 by roll call vote (6 ayes, 0 nays).
Councilmember Denson moved confirmation of Timothy Torber and Natalie Wimberley to second four-year terms on TNAAC. Council staff explained the commission’s composition and terms under county code chapter 2.89. Council adopted a council amendment to correct two recitals in the resolution that had mistakenly identified Natalie Wimberley as an airport user; the amendment lists her correctly as a community resident. The amendment carried and the council then confirmed the appointments.
A member of the public who serves on the commission thanked the council and described the airport’s role in life-saving medical flights, military training and career pathways for students via local aviation programs. Councilmembers praised the commission’s engagement and noted continuing work to seek economic-development opportunities tied to the airport.
