Waynoka Public Schools’ board voted on a set of routine and fiscal items, including the acceptance of a high bid for a district vehicle and a contingent donation resolution.
The board approved the highest rebid for a 2015 Chevy Suburban, accepting a $10,600 offer from Michael Strohmeyer, after staff reported five bids and cited a Blue Book value near $10,000. The motion to accept the high bid was moved, seconded and passed with affirmative votes recorded from the board.
The board also approved a resolution authorizing the acceptance and appropriation of a prospective donation pending receipt of the donor’s check. The motion to adopt the resolution was recorded as moved by Garrett and seconded by John Hackel; the board voted in favor. Board members emphasized that the appropriation is contingent on receiving the funds and that staff will return with the formal receipt and associated accounting once the check clears.
Separately, the board approved a suite of board policy amendments (items listed as "A through ..."), adopted the regular board meeting schedule for 2026, and declared items listed on Attachment A as surplus property. The board approved the prior meeting minutes as presented. All of these consent and action items passed on recorded affirmative responses during the meeting.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that passed on a verbal vote.
