Perkiomen Valley board appoints Dr. Pete Nicholson as assistant superintendent

The board moved and seconded the appointment of Doctor Pete Nicholson to the position of assistant superintendent and approved the motion by voice vote. Superintendent Russell introduced Dr. Nicholson to the board, noting that he currently serves as an administrator in a neighboring district with responsibility for secondary programming and a major renovation project and that he began his career as a health and physical education teacher.

During the professional personnel section the motion to elect Doctor Nicholson was made and seconded; the board voiced approval with 'Aye' and the chair declared the motion carries. Board members and administration offered congratulations and thanked him for agreeing to serve the district.

What this means: Dr. Nicholson will assume duties overseeing secondary level programming, high school and middle school leadership responsibilities, and will help oversee a planned renovation project pending standard onboarding and any additional formalities.
