Uxbridge conservation staff report progress on multiple site compliance matters
Summary
At the Nov. 3 meeting staff gave progress reports on outstanding compliance cases and projects including Hollister planting, Route 122 controls, 3195 South Main engineering work, 619 Quaker preliminary NOI and the pending culvert replacement by MassDOT; commissioners asked staff to keep these items on the agenda for tracking.
Conservation staff updated the commission on several active and long-standing compliance items.
Hollister: Staff reported the permit allows three years for required plantings; to date the planting has not been completed and staff will follow up. Route 122 improvements: after staff contacted the contractor, controls were refreshed at the outfall and staff asked that they be maintained before the next rain event. 3195 South Main: a consulting engineer has reviewed site materials and the owner is pursuing a plan to redirect flows off the problematic area. 619 Quaker Highway: staff received a preliminary notice of intent from an engineering firm and have requested a full plan set and standard submission materials. Juniper Hill condominiums and other sites with open permits remain under active tracking.
Commissioners asked staff to retain these matters on future agendas to track progress and to pursue stop-work or other enforcement if new unauthorized activity occurs. No new enforcement votes were taken at the Nov. 3 meeting.
