Galena Park ISD bond projects progress: field house footing poured, Cimarron permitting nearing completion

The Galena Park ISD facilities team told trustees on Nov. 10 that work funded by prior bond measures is progressing on schedule.
Edmar Tier, director of facilities planning and construction, showed project photos and said spread footings for the district field house are in place and the elevator well has been poured. He said Cimarron Elementary remains in the City of Houston permitting process and that the district expects to obtain the permit within about a month. Tier added that bids for a related project will be solicited in approximately two weeks.
Tier also reported work on the North Shore ninth‑grade campus — fenestration replacement and waterproofing — and noted windows were on site and ready for installation.
"So we're going right along, and we're on schedule," Tier said. The board received the update and proceeded with other agenda items.
