Nassau County tables interlocal agreement with Fernandina Beach on fire-station alerting

Nassau County commissioners voted Nov. 10 to table an interlocal agreement with the City of Fernandina Beach that would authorize network connectivity and interoperability for the Purvis fire-station alerting/notification system.
County staff asked the board to set the item aside so county and city officials could continue final negotiations on the arrangement. "The city and the county are still working together on kind of a final resolution with this Purvis notification system for the fire," Mister Eierman said, asking that the item be brought back to a future agenda.
Commissioner Farmer moved to table the item; Commissioner Gray seconded the motion. The motion carried on a unanimous voice vote.
The board did not set a date for the item to return. Staff said further work with Fernandina Beach would continue before the board considers the agreement again.
