On Nov. 10 the Prince George’s County Committee of the Whole recommended favorable action on the June 2025 cycle of amendments to the 2018 Water and Sewer Plan.

Mister Battle summarized the package, saying it includes designations for properties already connected to the public system and an application (25MM01) to advance the water and sewer category for a canine training facility — a 4,950‑square‑foot kennel on a 7.54‑acre AR‑zoned parcel in District 9. The county executive and the planning board recommended advancing that application to category 4; council staff also recommended approval.

Council moved and voted to recommend the amendments, with the motion carrying 8–0.

What’s next: These committee recommendations will be forwarded to the full Council for final action and to the agencies that implement water and sewer designations.
