The MacGregor City Council on Oct. 13 approved temporary road closures for two holiday events set for Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025.

Council approved closure requests for the Texas Museum of Theater and Broadcasts' Tinsel Trot, a 5K and one‑mile walk beginning at 9 a.m., and authorized staff to file paperwork with the Texas Department of Transportation for a temporary closure of State Highway 317 from 6–8 p.m. for the McGregor Christmas parade hosted by the McGregor Movement.

A council member moved to approve both items and the motions passed by voice votes with no opposition recorded. Staff indicated they will prepare the required supporting documents for TxDOT.
