Teaching & Learning staff showcased a redesigned Franklin SSD website with streamlined navigation, school-level pages, careers prominence and an online district guide; presenters said the site has generated more than 10 inquiry form submissions since launch.
Franklin SSD's Teaching & Learning team presented a redesigned district website intended to serve as an outreach, marketing and recruitment tool, highlighting new navigation, school-level pages and quick-action buttons for inquiries, enrollment and FAQs.
Doctor Decker introduced the spotlight and Amber Whitley (Teaching & Learning) described features intended to make the site easier for families to use: front-and-center careers pages for job seekers, a "showcase" area for school achievements, testimonials from students and families, and a "by the numbers" snapshot tailored for each school. Whitley said the district is converting the existing printable district guide to an ADA-accessible HTML guide and that, since the site's launch a few weeks earlier, it had already produced more than 10 inquiry form submissions.
The presenters credited collaborative work with outside partners and district principals in building school pages and curating quick links for calendars, lunch menus and transportation. Lisa Klaus was identified as the staff member who processes inquiry forms and routes them to principals and school contacts.
Board members responded with brief positive comments and there were no requests for additional action beyond continued development and accessibility updates.
