MacGregor council approves sale of JAG Aviation to regional aviation group

The MacGregor City Council approved the sale of JAG Aviation on Oct. 13 after a presentation by representatives of a buyer group introduced by Barry.

Barry told the council the buyer team is family‑owned and connected to Gage Technologies of Louisville and other aviation and technology partners. He described intentions to operate charter services and expand into new aviation markets, noting potential Part 91 and Part 135 operations and future executive-travel and eVTOL possibilities. "We brought on some other partners with Aviation... we're a Christian company... rooted in integrity," the presenter said.

Council member (speaker 3) moved to approve the sale; the council adopted the motion by voice vote with no nays recorded.

The council did not provide sale price or contract details during the public session; the purchaser's operational plans and any incentives were discussed at a high level. The council then resumed other agenda business.
