Council approves Veterans Park restroom renovation as designed; staff may use contingency for solid doors

Council members discussed scope creep and potential costs. Mayor Pro Tem Medrano said she would "just like to keep them the way they are" to avoid expanding scope. Staff said if the council gives direction and contingency funds remain, a traditional door could be installed via a change order administratively without delaying the project. Councilmember Chang moved to approve the restrooms as presented by staff; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
