Board approves Catalyst Center grant policy; two abstentions over instructor licensing

Member Davis explained her abstention, saying she supports Catalyst Centers but is concerned about instructor licensing and recordkeeping: "I'm just staying on this one... it's concerning that we're not putting the folks that are teaching there even on an LEA only license while they're working at the Catalyst Center because if there is abuse or a problem, there's no record and they can go and teach at a different catalyst somewhere else." She said she supports the centers but wanted the concern noted in the record.
The board recorded the final tally as 12 in favor, two abstentions and one no vote. The board concluded the law and licensing report and took a short recess.
