Fountain Valley — The City Council on Oct. 7 adopted a set of six-month strategic objectives developed at a Sept. 23 strategic-planning session with the executive management team.
City Manager Maggie Li outlined goals and associated deliverables, including an arts-on-the-box program in partnership with the school district and community foundation; a fundraising evaluation and presentation on Fire Station 1 funding options; an assessment to improve business-license operations; and a recruitment/retention strategy and citywide recruitment video. The council unanimously approved the objectives.
Councilmembers praised staff coordination and the executive team’s efforts to align short-term goals with the city’s three-year priorities. Staff will return on the listed dates with the specified deliverables and any required follow-up reports.
