Commission approves CD19 valet lane, defers select consent items

During the consent portion of the meeting the commission approved several consent agenda items and handled two pulled items. Commissioners approved 5.1, 5.2 and 5.4 on the consent agenda by voice vote. Commissioner Holler and NDOT staff discussed 5.3 (a valet lane for three spaces on 10th Avenue South requested by Brookstead Parking Company); NDOT described a test deployment, estimated 15–20 valet vehicles per evening and said operators would move the lane if needed. The commission moved to approve 5.3 (CD19) and passed the item by voice vote.
Separately, item 5.5 (time parking restrictions) was pulled and a motion to defer it indefinitely passed by voice vote. Several other items later on the agenda were deferred at request (for example 6.2 was deferred one month).
