The Planning, Development and Zoning Commission approved a slate of preliminary plats Nov. 10, moving several residential sections forward with staff‑recommended minor corrections.
Staff described Avellino Section 2 as consistent with the January 2024 master plan; the applicant must submit revised plats and signed mylars and secure drainage district signatures because the parcel is in the extraterritorial jurisdiction. The commission approved the Avellino action unanimously, 5–0.
The commission also approved Meridiana Section 8 (conforming to GDP Amendment No. 24) and Meridiana Section 9 (south of Inspiration Way), each with conditions requiring minor revisions; both motions passed 4–1. Meridian Section 15 (west of Mariana Parkway) likewise received conditional approval, with commissioners noting that several lots are 60 feet wide; that motion passed 4–1.
Each approval included the standard caveat that applicants must return corrected mylars and satisfy the conditions listed in staff reports before county or council acceptance.
