Peachtree City releases eight-month golf-cart counts; council seeks input before Nov. 20 decision on Crabapple Gate

"We counted golf carts for a period of about 8 months at Crabapple Gate," the city official said, adding that the count shows "about 23 carts per day." The official said the council compared those volumes with two other entry points and concluded "it will be beneficial to leave that gate open indefinitely," while seeking citizen input before making the decision final on Nov. 20.
Why it matters: Crabapple Gate, located in the Kedron Hills subdivision, is one of several connections residents and officials have debated because of concerns about traffic, community access and security. The city official directed residents to the Nov. 6 meeting packet for the full counts and asked residents to email council members or call to register their views.
What’s next: The council will take public comments into account and will formally consider the Crabapple Gate matter at its Nov. 20 meeting.
