Anna Moore, the student board representative, delivered the November student report at the Pewaukee School District Board meeting on Nov. 10, highlighting student activities and recent events.
Moore described a student-run Operation Christmas Child fundraiser (Oct. 14–20) organized by senior Samantha Caravan, with donated items packed into shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse distribution. "This project is normally run by Samaritan's Purse...which is really cool that she kind of took the initiative to do this on her own," Moore said.
She reviewed Key Club restructures and new volunteer opportunities, fall and Halloween programming across grade levels, and learning-spotlight projects such as poem books produced by creative-writing students. Moore also summarized athletics highlights: cross country and mountain biking achievements, drama production rehearsals, the girls swim team advancing toward state competition, and football’s sectional playoff appearance.
Board members asked follow-up questions about competition dates and scores during the report; the board praised students for the report’s breadth. The student presentation concluded with board appreciation and applause.
