Summary
Council approved Resolution 44 vacating Campus Drive to facilitate redevelopment of the UWWC campus area, Resolution 45 dedicating Forge Place right-of-way, Resolution 46 authorizing sale of city property to PKH Holdings LLC, and Ordinance 21 permanently rezoning 159.07 acres for future single-family subdivision development.
The West Bend Common Council approved several land‑use and real‑estate actions Monday intended to clear the way for future redevelopment.
Resolution 44 authorized final vacation of Campus Drive (located roughly a half-mile south of West Washington Street and west of South University Drive) to facilitate future sale and redevelopment of the UWWC campus area; the public hearing on the vacation had no speakers and the council approved the vacation by voice vote.
Resolution 45 accepted the dedication of an 80‑foot right‑of‑way and a 75‑foot radius cul‑de‑sac (named Forge Place) as created by a certified survey map to support a nearby manufacturing center and future land sales; the council approved the dedication.
Resolution 46 authorized the sale of a city parcel to PKH Holdings LLC and authorized the mayor and clerk to sign the deed, while delegating authority to the city administrator to execute other sale documents required by the title company.
Finally, Ordinance 21 permanently zoned 159.07 acres at the northeast corner of South River Road and Sand Drive to RS‑4 single‑family residential with applicable floodplain, wetland and shoreland overlays to facilitate future subdivision development; staff noted the property is privately owned and no immediate development application is pending.
All four items passed by voice vote.
