"I'm concerned about the capacity of the administration to follow through," said Mister Aguiar in earlier debate, while Mister Dias pressed for clearer deadlines and deliverables. Ultimately the measure passed after an amendment increased the funding authorization to $150,000 to secure wider consultant options.
The motion directs the superintendent to return with RFP results and a proposed contract; members asked for an update to the committee in January. The committee did not approve a specific vendor at the meeting.
Next steps: the superintendent will issue an RFP, return proposals and contract recommendations to the committee for approval and present progress toward a roadmap at the January meeting.
