Board adopts Eureka Math Squared for grades 6–8 at Karcher, not to exceed $34,098.50

Committee and staff comments emphasized classroom fit: teachers said Eureka supports both procedural skill practice and conceptual understanding and includes embedded assessments and teacher supports. Board members asked whether fifth grade should be included; Kristen said fifth-grade resources are often packaged with elementary curriculum and the current fifth-grade resource remains a green‑lighted program; adding fifth grade could be considered later.

The board moved and approved the adoption by roll-call vote (five ayes; one absence). The motion specified a not‑to‑exceed cost of $34,098.50 for the grades-6–8 package.
