Teacher and longtime resident urge collaboration and support for Pottsgrove schools during public comment

During the board's agenda-related public comment period, teacher Bree (Brianna) Robinson of Ringing Rocks told the board she attends meetings to support students and staff and asked the board to engage directly with teachers, "listen to their experiences" and pursue transparency, compassion and respect rather than conflict. She said she returns to meetings because she cares about the district and its students.
Later in the public-comment period, longtime resident and former educator James "Jim" Durr praised the board and district staff for their dedication and urged community members to work with the board rather than take actions that remove students from the district. Durr said, in part, that "if you want change and you wanna fix things, become a school board member" and encouraged engagement through committee service and volunteerism.
Board members thanked both speakers and noted the value of community input and teacher contributions. Neither speaker requested immediate board action; both framed remarks as supportive appeals for communication and partnership.
