The Seminole Municipal Authority on a unanimous roll-call vote accepted a $650,264.59 grant from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board under grant number ARPDash23Dash0298DashG, contingent on a local match of $667,316.39.

City staff told the board the match amount has largely already been spent on completed work and that the grant will reimburse those expenditures. "So it's money that we've for the most part that we've already spent and, will eventually be refunded to us," a city staff member said during the discussion.

The staff explanation drew questions from members about project timing and the source of matching funds. The staff representative credited the city’s grant team for identifying ARPA-derived funds that became available for recently completed projects and noted the award will allow the city to reappropriate refunded funds for other needs.

The motion to accept the grant was made, seconded, and passed by roll call with Dana Miller, Larry Church, Jolene Doucette, Jeff Nance, Scott Rossman, Trace Connor and Corey Crabtree recorded as voting "Yes." The authority did not identify a separate implementation deadline during the meeting.

The council’s acceptance authorizes staff to complete any required grant documentation and to move forward with reimbursement and bookkeeping steps tied to the OWRB award. Further action on matching fund allocations or project-level budget adjustments was not specified during the session.
