The council voted to accept a quote from TMA Electric LLC for $58,700 for purchase and installation.
Council also approved the consent agenda, which included authorizing a grant application to the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education (out‑of‑school‑time program) to support Palmer Park summer day camp operations, a permanent traffic control order making 26th Street stop for Nern Street, appointment of Judy Bush to the Beautification Commission (term to expire 01/30/2028), and confirmation of assessments for an emergency board‑up at 2815 Walnut Street.
During discussion, council members emphasized emergency‑shelter readiness, noting prior generator re‑use at Palmer Center and the broader need for multiple backup locations across the city. City Manager Fried said the city seeks to complete installation before winter.
