Several noncontroversial items closed out the Hart County agenda: a Chamber of Commerce update on holiday events, a library board reappointment and the board’s annual Veterans Day proclamation.
Amanda (S9), representing the Chamber of Commerce, told commissioners she attended a regional "game changer" event and previewed the county’s Christmas tree lighting on Nov. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. She said the event will run an hour longer than in prior years to accommodate more children and that Chuck Hawthorne’s family would be invited to flip the switch in recognition of his community contributions.
On appointments, County Administrator (S6) presented a library board recommendation to reappoint Chris Callaway to fill an unexpired term. Commissioner Teasley (S3) moved to approve Callaway’s reappointment; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote, 5–0.
The board also considered the annual Veterans Day proclamation prepared by staff and approved it by motion, designating the week of Nov. 11, 2025 as Veterans Week in Hart County and presenting the proclamation to the American Legion Post.
These items drew brief discussion and were approved without amendment.
