Anoka County elections director: Nov. 4 school board turnout 25.5%; board certifies results

Tom Hunt, Anoka County elections director, briefed the board and highlighted turnout for the district contests at 25.5%, up from about 15.5% in 2023. "We reached 25 and a half percent turnout, which is pretty amazing," Hunt said. With the resolution before the board, certification opens a seven‑day window during which a recount may be requested.
The clerk called the roll. Directors Simon, Hochman, Audette, Langenfeld, Arco and D'Shane voted aye; the resolution passed 6–0.
What happens next: the certification stands and any recount request must be filed within the statutory seven‑day period; the board said it would present an updated resolution if a recount is requested.
