At its Nov. 10 meeting the North Scott Community School District board approved routine business items including the meeting agenda, the consent agenda, payment of bills totaling $455,699 and a proclamation recognizing American Education Week.
Business manager (identified in the meeting as Joe) reported bills totaling $455,699. Noted payments included $122,500 to Encore Roofing for roof resurfacing at the recycling facility and a $1,986 transfer to Riverbend for a hunger drive; a partial payment of $40,110 was also listed for an ongoing project. “The bills, this work meeting total $455,699,” Joe said during his summary.
The chair moved to approve the bills; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with no recorded opposing votes. The board then approved a proclamation for American Education Week recognizing school staff and the role of public schools; the proclamation was read by an administrator and approved by voice vote.
The meeting record shows the board also completed a second reading of updated policies required by recent law changes and approved that group of policy updates by voice vote. Board members raised no substantive objections during these motions.
No contested or split recorded votes were noted in the meeting transcript; approvals were taken by voice with affirmative “aye” responses and no recorded objections.
