At its Nov. 10 meeting the South Berwick Town Council voted unanimously to renew the business license for Aurora’s medical cannabis operation, following the council’s public hearing process.
The chair opened the public hearing and asked for comment; minor clerical clarification about the spelling of the business name was raised. Town staff informed the council that Aurora’s (listed in town records) is a business in good standing and that no complaints had been brought forward in connection with the renewal. With no substantive public objection, a motion to approve the renewal was moved, seconded and carried by unanimous roll-call vote.
The council recorded no conditions or additional restrictions on the license renewal in the meeting record. The approval followed the town’s licensing ordinance requiring council approval for cannabis businesses.
