The Denver Regional Council of Governments adopted a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan on a unanimous voice vote, with staff saying the plan aligns DRCOG measures to the state’s legislatively directed greenhouse gas targets.
Robert Spotts, DRCOG’s PowerAhead Colorado program manager, presented the plan as the second deliverable of a $1,000,000 planning grant awarded Aug. 1, 2023. “This is the second deliverable, the comprehensive climate action plan,” Spotts said, describing a 170-page document that sets targets and 12 reduction measures across buildings, transportation and waste.
