Budget and procurement actions: The commission approved a $3,000 budget amendment to assist the Hodgesville Fire Department with tax‑exempt eligibility costs. It awarded the low bid for a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado that met specifications (Chair later noted the purchase amount is $70,608.38). The commission approved a MOU with the City of Dothan animal shelter regarding rabid‑animal responses and approved a budget amendment and contracts for MPO resurfacing projects on Old Webb Road, Cedar Springs Road and the Gordon Boat Ramp parking lot.
Transportation agreement: Commissioners also approved entering into an agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation for an industrial access and resurfacing project on Horace Shepherd Grove, with Houston County acting as the sponsor agency for the City of Dothan.
