York County approves three-year consulting agreement with WJE

York County commissioners approved a three-year consulting agreement with WJE Consulting at the Nov. 10 meeting. The chair explained the contract would continue WJE's local work in the county and that the consultant's percentage compensation would be affected by the new agreement.
A county official told the board the state incentive payments to the county would continue for about two more years at modest amounts — "in the $10,000 to $13,000 amount" was the estimate given — and that those payments would help cover some of the contract cost. The motion to approve the three-year agreement was made, seconded and carried on roll call with all present voting yes.
