Cowlitz County accepts state grant to assist clean-building compliance

"We actually have 2 tier 1 buildings ... and we will be in compliance with our first scheduled compliance date, which is June 2027," Clement said, adding that the grant reimburses up to $85 per square foot for audits performed.
Clement asked the board to accept the grant so staff can claim reimbursement. Commissioner (speaker 2) moved to approve acceptance of the funds; the board responded in the affirmative. "All in favor?" the chair asked; the record shows the board answered, "Aye."
