Santa Fe finance committee honors project manager Patrick Lucero

The Santa Fe Finance Committee on Nov. 10 recognized finance project manager Patrick Lucero for years of service to the city and recent leadership in modernizing closing and vendor-management processes.
Director Emily Osterholm introduced Lucero and read his biography, noting his finance and information-technology background with private-sector employers and state agencies and his role implementing Munis for the city. "Just last week, we completed the FY25 year-end close process in Munis. It was our smoothest close ever," Osterholm said.
Lucero thanked department heads, colleagues and the governing body for support. "I—m deeply honored," he said, and accepted a certificate of appreciation presented by Osterholm that recognizes his performance, service and dedication to the City of Santa Fe finance department.
Councilors praised Lucero—s community engagement and calm leadership. Councilor [Cassett] said it is "always so wonderful to see you," and Councilor Lee Garcia credited the regular month-end and year-end closes with improving the city—s financial processes.
The recognition was part of a brief agenda that also included an internal audit presentation on the city—s month-end and year-end close process. The committee approved the agenda as amended and passed the consent calendar before presentations.
