The Finance & Personnel Committee approved General Ordinance No. 30, which amends sections of the Sheboygan municipal code by removing percentage-based administrative surcharges and replacing them with invoiced actual expenses.

City Attorney explained the ordinance is part of ongoing code clean-up work. "Rather than applying this administrative surcharge, we will simply be invoicing our actual expenses," the City Attorney said, noting that with rising costs the previous percentage surcharges likely did not cover actual administrative expenses.

Alder Decker observed that invoicing actual costs could make processes easier for insurers and others who reconcile municipal charges. Alder Perella moved to approve the ordinance; Alder Decker seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
