Uvalde County approves purchase of Chevrolet Silverado for district attorney's office

Uvalde County Commissioners approved awarding a bid for a 2025/2026 Chevrolet Silverado pickup to Uvalde Chevrolet at a price of $66,559.01 for use by the district attorney's office.
Paul Esher presented the bid process, noting the county advertised the solicitation in the Uvalde Leader News and on the county website and that only one vendor, Uvalde Chevrolet, submitted a bid. "The bid is in the amount of $66,559.01," Esher said. He told the court the purchase would be paid through the Board of Prosecution Unit grant at no cost to Uvalde County.
Commissioners moved and seconded the award; the court approved the purchase by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will execute the purchase contract and coordinate delivery; funding source was stated as the Board of Prosecution Unit grant.
