"This year, our theme for the year is level up reaching new heights," Dr. Minzlaff said, and he noted the school's emphasis on consistent data collection across state and district assessments and daily trackers. He celebrated strong growth at the school, noting examples such as fifth grade achieving 78 percent in one growth measure.
Instructional coordinator Mrs. Houston explained how teachers use exit tickets to sort students for targeted small-group instruction and how micro-lessons and frequent data checks feed into tiered interventions. Teacher Brenner led students through counting within 1,000, skip counting by 5s and 10s, and modeling classroom call-and-response routines to build engagement.
Board members thanked the students and teacher for the presentation; the board did not vote on any instructional changes at this meeting.
