Kenston Local celebrates Eagle Scout projects and National Merit Scholars

The Kenston Local Board of Education recognized student achievements, highlighting two Eagle Scout projects and three National Merit-commended seniors.
Board members praised Eagle Scouts Colin and Jack for designing and installing more than 30 birdhouses along district running trails and constructing five weather-protected picnic tables to create an outdoor classroom behind the middle school. "Both projects have demonstrated exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills," a board speaker said.
The board also congratulated Kenston High School seniors Talon Buchanan, Devin Mascuga and Jackson Larkin on National Merit recognition; Jackson Larkin was identified as advancing to the next round of competition.
The board thanked the students and encouraged continued community support for student-led projects.
