The Fort Pierce Planning Board on Nov. 10, 2025 unanimously approved a major site plan for Redhawk Rebar 2, a proposed metal rebar fabrication facility at 4201 Bandy Boulevard.
Staff described the property as approximately 2.92 acres in a heavy-industrial future land-use area and said the project proposes a two-level building of about 24,534 square feet, with a building height of 35 feet and 41 parking spaces (two ADA). Staff recommended approval subject to four conditions: an approved landscape maintenance agreement before certificate of occupancy, a South Florida Water Management District ERP (environmental resource permit) before registering permits, submission of a county site development permit before filing city permits, and installation of a 5-foot sidewalk along Bandy Boulevard.
Tom DeGrace, the engineer of record representing the applicant, told the board that existing vehicle storage on the site would be removed during construction. "When the project is under construction, all of those cars will be gone," he said. DeGrace also confirmed the applicant had no objection to the listed conditions.
A motion to approve the site plan with the four staff conditions passed unanimously on roll call: Miss Carter ' Yes; Mister Collins ' Yes; Mister Whiting ' Yes; Mister Johnson ' Yes; Chair Clemens ' Yes. The applicant will need to secure the county and state permits required by the conditions before final city permitting and occupancy.
