Troy Peterson, a Port Richey resident, used the public‑comment period to offer his church’s 40x60 tent and a volunteer team to support the city’s Light Up City Hall holiday event.
Peterson gave his address for the record and described past outreach events his church has run. He told the committee the tent can be set up ahead of the weekend, stored on site during the market and removed afterward, and that his team could handle setup and teardown to save the city rental costs.
He also said he would be honored to join the events committee and noted his recent election as director of Turning Point USA — Faith Pasco. Committee members responded that they would consider adding him to the committee and would follow up at the next scheduled meeting.
Next steps: staff will confirm permitting and inspection needs for donated tents and the committee will decide on membership at the next scheduled meeting.
