Eleterio Garcia, representing VFW Post 8874, thanked the council and invited residents to the VFW’s Nov. 11 ceremony at 11 a.m.; he said, “On behalf of all the veteran community of Los Alamos, I wish to thank the council and the county for your recognition.” Victor Valenzuela, former VFW commander, also thanked the council and recounted his experiences returning from Vietnam.
Councilor Hand read the Small Business Saturday proclamation; Sandy Jones of the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce thanked the council for the recognition. During this portion of the meeting staff announced technical difficulties with Granicus streaming and advised viewers that audio worked on Zoom and to switch platforms if needed: “We are having technical difficulties with the Granicus streaming,” staff said.
