La Paz County board adopts Red Ribbon Week proclamation and recommends liquor license for River Island Market

Miss Thornberry, clerk of the board, reported the county received the liquor-license application and that notices were posted; departmental review forms showed no major objections, though the treasurer reported no active account at the address and Community Development noted the site plan did not reflect a small clothing store on the site. The board opened a public hearing and, with no speakers present, closed it.
Miss McDowell moved and Supervisor Holly seconded a motion to recommend approval of the liquor-license application to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control; the board voted in favor and the motion carried. The transcript records the motion as moved by Miss McDowell and seconded by Supervisor Holly for the liquor-license recommendation.
The chair read Proclamation No. 2025-23 into the record and moved to adopt it; the board voted to approve the proclamation. The board also approved consent agenda items 5a through 5l by motion and vote.
