County approves three‑year jail medical contract with ACH, including modest rate increases

Troy (S6) presented a proposed three‑year contract with ACH for medical services at the Benton County jail and told commissioners the vendor has provided those services for the last three years.
"We've been with ACH, to provide our jail medical services for, the last 3 years," Troy said. He said that after the last board meeting he and county staff discussed rate concerns with ACH and that ACH was willing to reexamine the proposed increases. The current proposal includes a 3% rate increase in both 2027 and 2028.
A motion to approve the three‑year contract with ACH was moved and seconded; the board approved the contract by voice vote. Commissioners thanked staff for negotiating with the vendor to reexamine later‑year increases.
The contract was approved at the meeting; the board did not record a roll‑call tally in the public record provided here. No amendments to the contract were made on the floor.
