The board also adopted Resolution 25‑17, a proposed reimbursement policy intended to retain paramedics by reimbursing a share of expensive specialized training. Chief Fyson said the policy reimburses 75% of tuition in the first year, followed by smaller percentages in subsequent years (transcript references to 30% and 25% for later years). In addition, staff said the department had an older mobile immersive response vehicle no longer in use and asked to donate it to the Chicago Fire Department; the board approved the donation and related resolution (25‑16).
