Denison honored for completing residential electrical-inspection training

Representatives from the International Association of Electrical Inspectors presented the City of Denison a certificate recognizing municipal staff for completion of a residential electrical-inspection training course.
Rudy Garza, president and CEO of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, said the training is part of a new program run in partnership with the International Code Council and that Denison—s inspectors attended a full-day class in Richardson covering basics of residential electrical inspection. "The city of Denison is one of the first three cities in the entire country to receive this recognition," Garza said, noting the life-safety importance of properly trained electrical inspectors.
Amanda Wozniak, public policy specialist with the association, joined Garza in presenting the proclamation and thanked city staff for participating. The presiding official thanked the presenters and recognized the city effort to maintain inspection standards.
The presenters said the program is expanding and that more cities are signing up, but they did not provide dates or a formal program rollout schedule in the meeting record.
