"This is the cost that's in front of you tonight for approval," Shaw said, identifying the amount of $426,129.17 as Edison’s current billing proposal.
Shaw said the construction bid opening for the utility project had been delayed and that, if bids proceed on schedule, construction could start in December or January with roughly six months of major work planned and subsequent transfers by the utilities.
Council introduced and passed Ordinance 1‑21‑2025 as an emergency measure to authorize the mayor and finance director to accept Toledo Edison’s proposal; the motion carried on voice vote.
