Douglas County schedules public hearing on Range Metropolitan Districts service-plan amendment

The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously on Nov. 3 to set a public hearing for Nov. 18, 2025, on a proposed first amendment to the service plan for Range Metropolitan Districts Nos. 1–3.
DJ Beckwith, principal planner with Plan Resources, told the board that state law requires the board to set a hearing following planning commission action and recommended the Nov. 18 date. "The request before you today is to set a public hearing date for the proposed first amendment for the Range Metropolitan Districts number 1 through 3," Beckwith said.
There was no substantive discussion after the staff presentation. A commissioner moved to set the hearing for 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 18, a second was recorded and the motion carried unanimously.
The hearing will include a full staff presentation on the service-plan amendment. No additional details about the amendment were presented at the Nov. 3 meeting; staff said the applicant would be available at the upcoming hearing.
